Sexing Up TV with Virg Nelson

Sex, snark and drama.  Three things that make reality television so very fascinating.  Everyone has their own guilty pleasure. How many have us lost an hour of time—that we won’t ever get back—staring blankly at the absolutely ridiculous antics of regular people made stars by the camera pointed at their real lives?
I have heard others, and wondered myself, how much of the reality on the screen actually translates to real life.  Are they playing it up for the camera?  Probably.  Are the producers snipping out boring bits and encouraging participants to behave badly to improve ratings?  Undoubtedly.  Does that make them less fascinating?
Nope.
When my daughter and her best friend were enraptured by one of these shows, I found myself fascinated wondering what it would be like to be the woman who, trapped on an island of vipers, searching for love herself, gets voted off the island—so to speak.
Paid well for her services, what kind of social life can she create at home with everyone believing what they saw on the screen rather than the reality?
What if one of those women wanted, if only for one night, the love she searched for and failed to find?
And Mellie was born.  Mellie wanted passion, excitement, someone who wanted her.
And she paid well for the 1Night Stand service to find it.
Blurb:
Looking for Love...
When she got voted off "Find Your Hubby," a reality tv gameshow, Mellie gave up on finding love.
 In all the wrong places...
Everyone knows that you are more likely to get hit by lightning than find a husband once you’re 40. Using the last of her winnings in a spur of the moment fling, she pays for a matchmaking service that offers you the perfect person-For One Night Only.
Can you buy passion?
When the 'perfect person' they find her is a woman, she first questions their selection service...Then her own desires.
